Overview
The Record Count By Filter dashboard widget displays a precise count of records that match a selected saved filter, providing users with a compact visual indicator for key operational metrics. It helps teams track how many records meet important conditions, such as tasks remaining, approvals pending, customers closed, or orders processed, in real time. By configuring a table, filter, and display styling, users can tailor the widget to their monitoring needs and keep high-priority counts visible on personal, team, or organization dashboards.
Use Cases
Task Tracking: Display how many tasks still need to be completed.
Approval Monitoring: Show how many records are pending review or signature.
Operations Queues: Keep counts for active requests, orders, or inventory actions visible.
Executive Dashboards: Surface key queue counts in a simple metric card for quick oversight.
Team Stand-Ups: Give teams a shared count-based indicator for daily workload review.

Best Practices
Dashboard Design
Place this widget near the top of operational dashboards where teams monitor priorities frequently.
Use color sparingly so important counts stand out without overwhelming the dashboard.
Combine multiple metric widgets only when each one tracks a distinct operational question.
Filter Management
Maintain saved filters carefully so the widget always reflects meaningful queue definitions.
Review filter logic after schema or workflow changes to avoid misleading counts.
Use custom names when the saved filter name is too technical for dashboard readers.
Related Widgets
Filters: Monitor saved filters in a list-oriented widget with quick management actions.
Record Summary: Use broader charts when you need trends and comparisons instead of a single KPI card.
