The Labii Steps widget is a new feature that allows users to track the progress of their projects and tasks by breaking them down into individual steps. The widget provides a clear overview of the status of each step, with the ability to add variables or comments to each step for additional context or details.
Users can mark each step as completed as they progress through the project or task, and the widget provides an option to complete and verify steps once they have been finished. This helps to ensure that all necessary steps have been completed and that the project or task is fully finished and ready for review or delivery.
Overall, the Labii Steps widget is a useful tool for anyone who needs to manage complex projects or tasks, providing a simple and effective way to keep track of progress and ensure that nothing is missed along the way.

Click Add Step to add a new step.

With the Labii Steps widget, users have the convenience of being able to load steps directly from various file formats, including *.txt, *.docx, or *.md. This feature allows for a seamless transfer of information from existing documents to the Steps widget, eliminating the need for manual input and saving valuable time.
To utilize this feature, users simply need to drag and drop the desired file into the designated Cloud area or click on the cloud icon to select a file. Once the file has been uploaded, all of the steps within it will be automatically loaded into the widget in the order in which they appear in the original document, providing an organized and efficient way to manage projects and tasks.
By utilizing AI, users can generate protocol steps with ease by providing only the name of the protocol, resulting in a significant reduction in required workload.
In the Labii Steps widget, users have several options to customize and manage their steps to ensure efficient and organized progress tracking.
To edit the content of a step, users simply need to click on the Edit button located next to the step they wish to modify.
If the Edit button is not visible, users can click on the Widget edit button at the bottom of the widget and check the "should_display_edit_button" option.
To edit the step actions and timer, click Edit action button.
If the Edit button is not visible, users can click on the Widget edit button at the bottom of the widget and check the "should_display_edit_button" option.
To change the order of steps, users can easily drag and drop the drag handle located at the front of the step index to rearrange the steps in the desired order.
For added convenience and record-keeping, users have the option to assign a section to record the results of each step. By clicking on the Add results button, users can open a dedicated results section for each step.
When the "is_restricted" option is enabled for a step, users can utilize the highlighted area to provide comments or variables specific to the experiment at hand. This feature allows for the addition of experiment-specific variables and the inclusion of comments or observations to the step, providing further customization and clarity to the progress tracking process.
To mark a step as complete, users can click on the Complete button, which will change the background color of the step to teal and automatically add a timestamp and user information to the end of the step. The timer will also be hidden for completed steps.
If the Complete button is not visible, users can click on the Widget edit button and check the "should_display_complete_button" option.
If a user needs to mark a step as incomplete, they can click on the Undo button, which will reverse the completion status of the step.
If the "Undo" button is not visible, users can click on the Widget edit button and check the "should_display_complete_button" option.
Users also have the ability to verify a step by clicking on the "Verify" button. This feature can be useful for quality control and ensuring that all necessary steps have been completed.
If the "Verify" button is not visible, users can click on the Widget edit button and check the "should_display_verify_button" option.
To delete a step, users can click on the "Delete" button located next to the step they wish to remove.
If the "Delete" button is not visible, users can click on the Widget edit button and check the "should_display_delete_button" option.
Finally, users can also start the timer for a step by clicking on the "Start" button located next to the timer. This can be useful for time-sensitive tasks or projects.
You can swiftly add a step above the current one by clicking the "Insert" button.
The Labii Steps widget comes equipped with a number of helpful features to assist users in completing their experimentation process with efficiency and accuracy. One such feature is the ability to click the "Run Procedure" button in order to proceed through each step one at a time, with the option of receiving both text and voice guidance throughout the process.
Each step will open in a full-screen modal once clicked.
For additional flexibility and control, users can navigate between different steps at any point by utilizing the "Previous" or "Next" button.

For added convenience and accessibility, the Labii Steps widget is equipped with a built-in text-to-speech function, which will automatically read each step aloud by default. Users have the ability to mute this function at any point by clicking the "Mute" button, while also having the option to manually initiate a read-through of each step by clicking the "Read" button.
You can jump to any step by clicking the Goto step button and selecting a step.
You can custom the widget to meet your specific research requirements:
Should display Edit button - If you want the Edit button to appear, check the box.
Should display Insert button - If you want the Insert button to appear, check the box.
Should display Complete button - If you want the Complete button to appear, check the box.
Should display Verify button - If you want the Verify button to appear, check the box. A Verify button can only be displayed once the step has been completed.
Should disable actions if step not current - Check this box to prevent proceeding to other steps until the current step is completed.
