Overview
The Links widget lets users create and manage dashboard shortcuts that open internal Labii pages or external resources in one click. It is designed to reduce navigation friction by keeping frequently used destinations visible in a persistent dashboard tile. Teams can use it as an operational launch panel for common list views, forms, reports, SOPs, and related systems.
Use Cases
Prepopulated form shortcuts: Open links that start record creation with prefilled values.
Operational bookmarks: Keep quick access to high-frequency list views such as pending orders or active samples.
Cross-system navigation: Add direct links to external portals, instrument software pages, or partner systems.
Team dashboard launchpad: Provide a standardized list of key destinations for daily workflows.
Process guidance: Add text nodes or button links that point users to SOPs, checklists, or policy pages.
Configuration
The Links widget does not use a separate configuration panel. Links are created and maintained directly in the widget.

Text Node Entries
Leave the Link field empty to create non-clickable text entries for section labels or instructions.
Color-Coded Navigation
Use the Color setting to visually separate link groups by function, urgency, or workflow category.
Ordered Workflow Paths

Best Practices
Dashboard Design
Keep the list focused on high-frequency links to avoid clutter.
Place critical actions near the top of the widget.
Pair this widget with Filters so teams can review queue counts and open target views immediately.
Link Governance
Use consistent naming conventions such as verb-first labels (for example, "Open pending approvals").
Periodically review links to remove outdated or broken destinations.
Prefer stable URLs for shared dashboards to reduce maintenance.
Team Operations
Use shared dashboards to standardize navigation for recurring procedures.
Add text nodes to separate link groups by workflow stage.
Reserve button styling for the most important destinations so visual emphasis remains meaningful.
