Teams

Manage teams

This documentation will show how you manage "teams" within Labii ELN & LIMS. A team in Labii ELN & LIMS is a collection of members within one organization. For an example, the protein team can be created to refer to all those scientists working on the protein projects. A team can be assigned to project directly and all members belonging to the team will have the same permissions as well.

Add a team

You can add a new team to your organization by:

  1. Click on the menu icon on the top left

  2. Click on Settings

  3. Select Teams

  4. Click the "+" icon at the top of the Navbar

  5. Fill out the form and click submit

Manage Teams

You can view and manage the teams within your organization by:

  1. Click on the menu icon on the top left

  2. Click on settings

  3. Select Teams

Here you’ll see the teams associated with your organization and the columns for teams are as follows:

  • Name of team

  • Description of the team

  • Is Archived - Mark true if you’d like to archive a particular team

You can edit the three columns above by simply hovering your mouse to the field you’d like to edit and a pencil icon will appear for you to edit/update the info.

The sidebar to the left has the following:

  • Add Team - Click to add a new team; same as the “+” icon on the top

  • Active Teams - Click here to see only the active teams within your organization

  • Archived Teams - Click here to only see archived teams within your organization

  • Personnel - Click here to see all personnels within your organization

  • Projects - Click here to see projects within your organization

  • Help - Link to our dedicated support and tutorial page with helpful videos

  • Send Feedback - Click here to whenever you have a feature request or would like to submit feedback on how we can improve the platform for you

The navbar on the top has the following:

  • Search - Click the "search" icon to quickly find a specific team

  • Menu Drop List - Click on the “Menu” icon:

    • Ability to import and export

    • Links to quickly see all, active, or archived teams, personnels

    • Along with links to teams, projects, and Help - our dedicated support page with documentation/screenshots/videos.

  • Ability to change the number of records per page

    • Starting at 10 up to 2000 per page

Team Detail

To see and edit the details of a particular team, click on the team's name and here are the fields that you can edit/update:

  • Name

  • Description

  • Members

  • Is archived

Note: archived members can not be added as a team member.

Within the team detail page, to the left you have the sidebar that has the following:

  • Personnel - Click here to see all personnels within your organization

  • Teams - Click here to see all the teams associated with your organization

  • Projects - Click here to see projects within your organization

  • Reports - Click here to generate reports based on time, personnel, projects, etc.

  • Help - Link to our dedicated support and tutorial page

  • Send Feedback - Click here to whenever you have a feature request or would like to submit feedback on how we can improve the platform for you

On top you have the navbar:

  • Click the “+” icon to add a new team to your organization

  • Click “More” to see the drop-down list of options:

    • Quick access links to view all Personnels, Teams, and Projects within your organization

    • Reports - Click here to generate reports based on time, personnel, projects, etc.

    • Help - Link to our dedicated support and tutorial page

    • Send Feedback - Click here to whenever you have a feature request or would like to submit feedback on how we can improve the platform for you
