Labii interface provides many ways to add a new record. Choose a method that is convenient for you based on which page you are when using Labii.
Click the Add button in the side menu.
Select a table name in the list. The search box can be used to restrict the list of tables displayed.
Select a table to create a blank record. Depending on your "Add from form vs. Add directly" settings, a form will be displayed or a record will be directly created. Alternatively, you can create a blank record by clicking the "..." icon and choosing "Blank [Table Name]".
The newly created record should be opened directly.
When you click a Project / Folder and at the Project List View, you can add any type of table from the navigation bar.
By clicking the "+ Add" button, you will see the same interface as "Add from side menu".
In the Table List View, you can add a new record from the nav bar.
Click the "Add [Table name]" button
A dropdown menu will be opened. Select "+ Blank [Table name]". Depending on your "Add from form vs. Add directly" settings, a form will be displayed or a record will be directly created.
As an administrator, you can save the form data as the table default. The next time a user adds a new record, this saved data will be pre-loaded to save time on data entry. To update these saved values, you can also modify the "default_add_query" in the table settings.
Use the "Check Duplicate" feature to ensure that no existing records have the same name as the current record before saving it. This helps maintain data integrity by preventing duplicate entries.
