An audit trail is a security-relevant chronological record, set of records, and/or destination and source of records that provide documentary evidence of the sequence of activities that have affected at any time a specific operation, procedure, or event.
Two widgets are supported at Labii ELN & LIMS.
Activity is the widget to show user activities. It captures the timestamps, user identity, as well as the before and after values.
Activity is a read-only widget, which means it will capture all activities at background even it is not added to a record. Users can not changes any records created by the widget.
On default, 10 most recent activities are loaded in the detail view, click "Load More" button to load more activities.
Version is the widget to show the change history of a record. The changes is captured automatically, whenever changes were made, a new version will be created and saved.
Beside the full content of a record, each version also capture the timestamps, user identify and the previous and current hash keys.
On default, 10 most recent versions are loaded in the detail view, click "Load More" button to load more activities. The Print view displays all versions.
A blockchain, originally block chain, is a growing list of records, called blocks, which are linked using cryptography. Each block contains a cryptographic hash of the previous block, a timestamp, and transaction data. By design, a blockchain is resistant to modification of the data.
Labii is the FIRST and the ONLY company in the market that uses the blockchain technology to secure your research data. A key (Hash) is created as the signature to each version, and used to verify the connections to its previous version.
The detail of each version can be preview via clicking the the version title. The view is same as the print view, and it is readonly, no changed can be made.
If mistakes are made, you have options to restore to a previous version. Click "Restore" to restore. The restore will create a new version with notes "restored from version xxx".
